Family Life's Bible Quizzing program is a fun and competitive way for teens to memorize Bible verses. It involves an adult coach, 5-10 quizzers per team, a quizmaster, and scorekeepers. Family Life hosts a teen league in Bath, Olean, and Binghamton, NY for grades six through twelve. If you’re not within driving distance of Bath, call Family Life for information on quiz leagues in other areas.
So how’s the program set up? Each year a different book of the New Testament is chosen for quizzers to divvy up and memorize among team members. Then they study, study, study to compete. Once a month, the teams assemble for a competition of several, 12-minute quiz sessions. Each session has three teams competing against one another to answer questions posed by the quizmaster.
An example question from the book of John would be "According to John 3:16, what did God give?" The quizzer would have 20 seconds to answer "His one and only Son." Once the quizzer has an answer, they jump to their feet to trigger a light in front of the quizmaster. The entire competition lasts about two hours, and the kids have a blast.

Bible Quizzing isn't just something to do at the local level either. Every Spring, Family life takes four teams to the National Quiz Tournament where thousands of quizzers compete.
