Princess Ever After

A novel by Rachel Hauck
The Royal Wedding Series, book 2

Another delightfully entertaining “What If?” story

Reggie, Regina Beswick, isn’t sure who she is. She went to college and became an accountant with a prestigious firm, but at 28, this southern girl believes she has finally found her “true” destiny – restoring antique automobiles with a small band of loyal men. And then, without warning, Tanner Burkhardt, Minister of Culture for the Grand Duchy of Hessenberg, appears at her shop with the news that she is in truth the missing Princess needed to restore Hessenberg to its independent status. Bits and pieces of stories told by Reggie’s long passed grandmother indicate that there is truth to the claim, but why would Reg want to give up her new-found identity to serve a tiny country in Europe?

While Rachel Hauck has written a very entertaining sequel to Once Upon a Prince, she’s also raised some thought-provoking questions. How do you know what God wants you to do? What if you were meant to do bigger things for “such a time as this?” While the tale is fanciful to a modern girl, it’s a reminder that as daughters of God, the King of Kings, we are princesses called upon to serve.

I enjoyed this story and hope Rachel will pursue the series further. If you haven’t read the first book of the series, some of the history might not make as much sense, but it will still be a fun read.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my fair and honest review.
