Uniting the Church

08.21.14 | Sarah Harnisch

On Sunday, August 24, six Methodist churches will host a mega-gathering in northeastern Pennsylvania. It's to show that the issues that divide Christians, like homosexuality, Christ in the workplace with the Hobby Lobby decision, and abortion -- will not split the church. Family Life News went right to the man organizing the service, Reverend James Hollister, and asked "why are Christians bickering?"

For more information: Sunday's service features half a dozen churches from northeastern Pennsylvania and a mass choir. They will gather together on Sunday, August 24 at the Towanda First United Methodist Church at 10:30am. Child care is provided, and there is a meal afterwards.
