Staycation: Cherry Springs State Park

08.10.18 | Traci Lynn Woolsey

City lights take up such a big chunk of the world that only 10% of Americans have seen a truly “dark sky.” Cherry Hills State Park, located about 15 miles southeast of Coudersport, PA, is one of those dark places.  The park has even received Gold Level International Dark Sky Park certification from the International Dark Sky Association.

Cherry Springs presents skies for studying, gazing, or gaining a better understanding of our place in the universe.  Natural Resource Specialist Tim Morey gives us inside information about how best to prepare for a visit to gaze at the stars!
