News Feature- Overcoming Adversity: Amy Foster's Story

05.25.15 | Sarah Harnisch

Over Easter weekend, a Christian family from upstate New York was in a terrible car accident in West Virginia. Kevin and Amy Foster and their six children were in the van when it rolled several times. Amy was left without the use of her legs, and limited use of her arms. Her sister, Jill Rodrigues, speaks to Family Life's Sarah Harnisch about the accident-- and how to overcome tremendous adversity.

Praying for your family. Our family has walked alongside my brother, John, a quadriplegic since a diving accident when he was 20 years old. We have watched God do amazing things with and through his injury. He went on to finish college, even getting a 4.0. He has pursued a career, married and raise a step family. But, most importantly, he was the first to find a relationship with Jesus, and has since lead my mom and me to Christ. He is a daily example of faith, hope and a strength that leaves us all in awe of him and our God. Praying for your family.
