Inside Out 26: Living in God's Two Kingdoms

12.02.10 | Kurt Goff

io-2kingdomsAs followers of Christ, we’re living in the already and not yet.

We’re on our way to Heaven.

But the journey takes us through this world.

And according to Jesus, it’s a God ordained journey.

John 17:15 (ESV)
"I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one."

God wants you here.

Me too.

To point others to Him.

Matthew 5:16 (ESV)
"...let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

If living the Christian life means walking a fine line between two worlds, how involved should I be when it comes to cultural and political change?

If you’ve ever asked yourself this question, join the club.

I recently connected with David VanDrunen.

He’s a professor from Westminster Seminary California, and his new book is Living In God's Two Kingdoms.

Even though we all have to make our decisions about faith and engaging culture individually before God, maybe some things he has to say in the podcast will help you as you prayerfully make your choices today.
