Inside Out 119: Exodus International

09.28.11 | Martha Manikas-Foster

It’s been a tough year for Exodus International, the largest Christian ministry to individuals and families impacted by homosexuality. In response to protests, in March of 2011 Apple pulled Exodus International’s iPhone App from its iTunes store because it was “offensive to large groups of people.” In July it became public that in 2009 the Chicago-area Willowcreek Community Church had cut its decades-long association with Exodus.

The ministry’s detractors say that Exodus claims to cure same-sex attraction, language the ministry says it does not use or support.

What does Exodus say about itself, and is this different from recent news reports? Join us for this Inside Out conversation with Alan Chambers, president of Exodus International.
