Inside Out 10: At A Loss

10.21.10 | Kurt Goff

You want to clear a room?

Even a room full of professing Christians?

“Let’s talk about loss”.

Watch ‘em scatter.

Not a feel good topic.

Are you still with me?

Loss of a job.

Loss of a marriage.

Loss of a spouse to death.

Intense bone jarring pain reminds us that TEMPORARY is written in bold relief over our earthly lives.

A full hand today can be an empty one tomorrow.

Or tonight.

We should love with love that expects separation “-Charles Spurgeon

 Job 1:21 (ESV)
“…. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

He gave.

He has taken.

But He Himself remains.

And that is enough.

Dealing with a loss today?

Believe me Carol Cornish understands.

Don’t let the title of her book pigeon hole the content.

The Undistracted Widow is really about dealing with serious loss of any kind.

Take a listen to my conversation with Carol and keep your own loss in mind.
