Faith under Fire: FEMA Extends Disaster Relief Aid to Churches

Despite the numerous natural disasters (hurricanes & wildfires) of 2017, U.S. churches were unable to seek federal reimbursement funds for providing disaster relief to members of the community. But, that has changed!

Matthew Clark, Senior Counsel for Digital Advocacy with the ACLJ, shares a positive update on FEMA rules when it comes to disaster aid relief and houses of worship.

Earlier this month, FEMA changed the regulation. Churches may now apply for aid relating to disasters declared after August 23, 2017.
