Ugi Utilities Customers In Pa Will See A Spike In Their Bills Beginning Today

The natural gas company says the average customer's bill will go up by $4.50 a month.

UGI says the bump is due to an increase in the "purchased gas cost" portion, which reflects how much the utility pays to obtain the gas it delivers.

Meanwhile, the public utility commission has put the more than $71 million dollar hike UGI requested in late January on hold.
