The Pa Game Commission Renames Its Officers

While wildlife conservation officers have been unofficially called game wardens by the public, this is the first time in the Game Commission's history that it will be the official job title. Game Commission officials say the goal is to more clearly identify officers and their purpose.
Before 1987, officers were called district game protectors. After the Game and Wildlife code was recodified in 1987, the officers were called wildlife conservation officers.
