Auditor general-elect Tim DeFoor is the first person of color elected to a statewide row office.

The Republican says he's humbled at the race results, and thankful to others that have paved the way in the past.

State Republicans did well this election cycle with Stacy Garrity upsetting incumbent treasurer Joe Torsella, Republican incumbent Scott Perry beating Auditor General Eugene DePasquale to retain the PA-10 post, and Carrie DelRosso earning a surprise win over top-ranking Democratic leader, Frank Dermody.
