Pas 20 Democratic Electors Are Set To Vote In Harrisburg At Noon Today

12.14.20 | Terry Diener

Nancy Patton Mills, the chairwoman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and the state Electoral College delegation says this year’s event will be pared down because of the pandemic.  She said leadership from both caucuses will be absent, as will Gov. Tom Wolf, who remains in isolation at home after being diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Mills said there might be as few as 60 people in attendance, which leaves plenty of room for social distancing. Electors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and have their temperatures taken.

The Pennsylvania electors will cast votes for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

The 20 electoral votes in the Keystone State will be certified today toward the 270 required for the presidential winner.
