Currently, medical marijuana can only be prescribed in oils, pills, gels and liquids.

But that might soon change.

The first "pot as medicine" sales in Pennsylvania began February 15th, two years after Governor Wolf signed the bill into law.

The state also wants to expand the kinds of medical conditions marijuana can be used for, including cancer remission therapy.

More than 28,000 people in Pennsylvania have sought permission to use medical marijuana.

About 10-thousand have received state-issued cards needed to purchase the controversial drug.

Many skeptics say the medical marijuana program in the Keystone State will backfire, causing more problems with drugged driving and drug addiction.
