Pa Is Among The Worst States For Rural Roads

Nearly 15% of America's rural roads are in "poor condition" and severely need repair, according to a recent report by national transportation research group TRIP.

Among the ten worst states is Pennsylvania, coming in at number eight.

The report said twenty-two percent of the state’s rural roads are in poor condition, and that same percentage of bridges are structurally deficient.

The study added that just nine percent of state expenditures are set aside to maintain Pennsylvania roads.

Governor Tom Wolf has recently urged the federal government to provide more infrastructure funding.
