Ny Gov A Cuomo Says The State Is Headed Toward 2nd Full Shutdown

The governor says all "nonessential" businesses would be forced to close again if the COVID trajectory does not change.

The state recorded an increase of 1,000 hospitalizations, just in the past week. Some regions may be overwhelmed soon.

New Yorkers are being urged to plan for another shutdown and to work remotely whenever possible.

Officials say that tightening restrictions would be necessary to address the spike in cases until the vaccine is fully deployed.
