New York Is Poised To Require Regular Inspections Of All Rail Crossings Across The State

06.14.16 | Sarah Harnisch

Governor Cuomo announced a proposal that would require all rail crossing equipment to be inspected every two years to reduce collisions and deaths.

If you're caught driving around lowered gates, the first offense is a warning.  The fine would be $750 on a second offense and $1,000 for a third offense.

The bill is expected to be approved this week.
