But that could soon change.  

Lawmakers are working on a plan that would equip local departments with these devices as soon as next year.

Pennsylvania is the only state in the country that still bans municipal police from using radar.  Only state police can use them in the commonwealth.

The Keystone State ranks third in the nation in regards to the number of speeding-related fatalities each year.
