The first "shots in arms" happened this morning.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo watched as a nurse from Long Island was the first to get the vaccine. He says this is just the first step in a long road toward recovery.

The governor said today the vaccine is the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's a long tunnel.

The first vaccine in the state went to critical care nurse Sandra Lindsay at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens.
