At 10 this morning, more then 400 students from three schools will march in a parade to Forest Lawn Cemetery, where Sarah Hinson is buried.

The former Buffalo teacher and principal taught children to salute the flag and repeat the Pledge of Allegiance to instill respect for the nation's flag. She chose June 14th as Flag Day because that's the day in 1777 when the Continental Congress accepted the flag's design.

Students will also help the Buffalo fire department ceremoniously retire more then 300 old flags.
