Gov. Andrew Cuomo thinks transitioning to a green economy will provide crucial jobs for the state in a post-COVID world.

On Wednesday, the Democrat said New York will work with the private sector to build a brand-new green energy transmission system.

He says the challenge in the Empire State has been getting renewable energy from its production source "to where it is needed."

The governor proposed the construction of the third largest wind energy project in the nation, and unveiled a 20-mile, 200 megawatt solar project for Orleans County.
