The Third Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the city's decision to stop placing children with the agency because it would not permit gay and lesbian couples to take in foster children.

The court said it did not target the agency because of its religious beliefs, but is simply upholding its own non discrimination policy.

Catholic social services says they firmly believe, and science shows, that children do better socially, cognitively and relationaly when raised by a mother and a father, and they will continue to fight in a higher court.
