What was suppose to be one of the new massive headquarters in the country is now no more.  The e-commerce company made the announcement Thursday after some politicians were angry about nearly $3 billion in tax breaks.

The nixed deal wipes out 25,000 promised jobs.

Amazon says it does not plan to look for another location, and will continue to build out offices in Arlington, Virginia, and Nashville, Tennessee.

Meanwhile, New York state Senator Bob Antonacci says the online retailer should build a facility between Syracuse and Rochester.

Antonacci says he's reached out to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos about his proposal, but has not heard back.
