 Cherry Almond Tart

 1 package (181/2 ounces) yellow cake mix
 2/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
 1/2 cup butter, softened
 1 egg
 1/3 cup chopped almonds
 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened (I used 2-8-oz. packages)
 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar (I used 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar)
 1 21-ounce can cherry pie filling
 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Combine the cake mix, cracker crumbs and butter until crumbly.  Add egg; mix well.  Stir in chopped almonds.  Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 14-inch pizza pan.  I didn't have a pizza pan so I used a 9"x 13" pan and a small pie plate.

Bake at 350 degrees for 11-13 minutes or until lightly browned.  Cool completely.
Beat cream cheese and sugar in a bowl.  Spread over crust.  Top with pie filling.      Sprinkle with toasted, sliced almonds.  Yield 14-16 servings.  Store leftovers  in refrigerator.
