np-monkey-bread - Mmm...bread...

  • 24 Frozen Raw Dinner Rolls (Small)
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Box Butterscotch Cook and Serve pudding mix
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Stick Butter
  • 1 Cup Pecans or Walnuts chopped

This is an over night recipe.

At night, just before bed, spray a bundt or tube pan with pan spray and place the nuts around the bottom evenly. Arrange the rolls around the bottom of the pan. Combine the brown sugar and pudding mix and sprinkle over the rolls. Combine the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of the brown sugar. Melt the butter and slowly pour it over the rolls and toppings, trying to drizzle over all of the sugar. Leave out on the counter OVER NIGHT! When you wake up, the rolls will have proofed. Heat your oven to 350 degrees and bake for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes on a cooling rack then invert the pan onto a serving plate and enjoy!

Or put it into the oven before you go to bed and set the delay start timer...and wake up to the delicious smell of money bread!

Do you have the recipe for the pizza monkey bread I heard a lady describe this morning? That sounded like a picky boy pleaser!! :)

I dont have her recipe, but she inspired me to alter my traditional monkey bread recipe tonight. Here's what's in my oven right now: PIZZA Monkey Bread: 2 pkgs wegman's jumbo refrig bisquits (quartered), 2 cups shredded mozz cheese, 1 jar wegman's pizza sauce, sliced pepperoni (quartered). Mix all ingredients (sauce the dough as you slice, so they dont stick together so much that they don't get any sauce). Place in a bundt pan or baking pan (9x9). Allow dough to rise in a warm place for a few hours. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Can you omit or use a different pudding mix? My family does not like butterscotch pudding. Thanks for the pizza one too, it sounds delicious!

I make this Monkey Bread at least once a week for my family. They all love it. I have used vanilla cook pudding when I can't find the butterscotch and the difference isn't that much! Love listening every morning as soon as I wake to the Morning Show, Randy, Rachelle and Steve
