Today in our Neighborhoods in the Network feature takes FLN News special correspondent Martha Manikas-Foster to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, for a preview of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Open Speech and Debate Tournament. The annual event begins at 8 a.m this Saturday, January 20, at the E. L. Meyers Junior-Senior High School. Organizers expect 400 students from over 35 different schools to participate in this tribute to the great orator and civil rights leader. The days events include times when students will recite and perform pieces written by Dr. King or inspired by his life and work.
