For obvious reasons, Bethlehem, PA calls itself the Christmas City. Each year since 1992 the city has hosted Christmas celebrations that begin the day after Thanksgiving and continue through December 31. Among the highlights is the special Moravian Christmas nativity, called the Moravian Putz, as well carriage rides, walking tours, and a bus tour that includes a rare close-up look at the large, lighted star that glows over the city at night. Join Martha Manikas-Foster for a look at this yearly celebration in a city that was named on Christmas Eve in 1741 by Protestant Moravians. For more information, visit
