Are more and more “Christian” teens embracing a watered-down faith?
The short answer from Kenda Creasy Dean is yes.
Kenda is a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary and she’s been in the news quite a bit recently.
It’s tied into her analysis of the controversial National Study of Youth & Religion.
Here’s a quote from a CNN story that featured her book Almost Christian:
“If you’re the parent of a Christian teenager, Kenda Creasy Dean has this warning: Your child is following a “mutant” form of Christianity, and you may be responsible.”
Wow.
I mean, WOW.
As a Christian parent I wanted some specifics.
I checked out the book.
But I still had my own questions.
I headed down to the studio.
Picked up the phone.
Two rings.
“Hi Kenda... Kurt Goff from Family Life here... do you have a few minutes?”
“Sure.”
“Now let’s see… where do I begin...?”
Inside Out airs Wednesdays at 12:20pm EST during the Family Life Noon Report.
