"Finish the Job"
Years ago, Family Life's Founder Dick Snavely labeled this ministry, "The Continuing Miracle" as we continued to see God open doors that no man ever could. Every major endeavor that has been undertaken by Family Life over nearly six decades has begun with little or no resources, but with a lot of prayer. We have watched as the Lord performed one miracle after another that allowed Family Life to minister to hundreds of thousands of people.
We have been praying that the Lord would open even more doors of ministry.
Once again, a miracle is unfolding!
The Lord has blessed Family Life! What began as a youth ministry in 1957 has expanded today to include a radio network, a performing arts department, and a Biblical counseling outreach. Within each of these departments we continue to see His hand at work. And each of these ministry departments currently have open doors that will provide even more ministry. That is why Family Life is looking for your help to "Finish the Job!"
The Lord continues to increase the outreach of the radio ministry in unique ways. Last summer, Family Life introduced six different projects that collectively would reach an additional one million potential listeners. The first of the six projects, the major upgrade to the Cambridge Springs, PA station, was completed with the monies raised during the one-day fund drive in July. The other five projects, which will benefit numerous areas throughout New York and Pennsylvania, are awaiting funding to complete. The opportunity of moving forward with each of these signals is now within reach!
For the past number of years, the Performing Arts department has had a vision to create a center that would allow Family Life to train young people and adults in the creative arts year-round. That vision started to take shape a few months ago when a local church donated a building to the ministry for such a center. Retrofitting and upgrading the facility to allow for this instruction will be made possible by your year-end contribution!
A few years ago, Family Life's Biblical Counseling department desired to expand this ministry beyond the immediate area of where the organization's headquarters were located. Family Life partnered with another counseling ministry in Colorado and introduced "The Healing Journey". This 29-week course, that focuses on Biblical instruction to bring spiritual and emotional healing, has grown from one group to nearly 45 throughout New York and Pennsylvania. Expanding this ministry even deeper and further is achievable with your help!
We would be extremely blessed for you to have a part in supporting Family Life as you consider the various ministries you contribute to at the end of this year. Your gift is not only greatly appreciated but it is also tax-deductible. If you or a family member is 70 1/2 or older, you may want to consider the tax benefits of an IRA charitable roll-over explained on the enclosed card.
Family Life friends, Steven Curtis Chapman, Laura Story, and Jason Gray want to encourage your involvement in this miracle of God. Their signatures are on a guitar to be given away to a fortunate contributor to Family Life's year-end project. Your gift of $57.00, to commemorate Family Life's 57 years of ministry, will make you eligible to win this guitar. For every multiple gift of $57.00, your name will be entered that many times in the drawing. A gift of $570.00 will enter your name ten times. A $5,700.00 contribution will allow your name to have 100 entries.
Thank you so much for participating in what the Lord is doing at Family Life. As has been our theme since day-one, "To God be the glory; great things He has done!"
Yours in Christ,
Rick Snavely, CEO
