PMAD: Take Me to the River

04.29.11 | Ed Thomas

This June, another group of single Moms will gather for a weekend unlike anything they'll experience during the course of the year -- a retreat specially designed for them and their children, that's been changing lives for four years. On this edition of PMAD, we'll learn about Joan Boje Anderson, and how God helped her and many willing volunteers -- to put together the "Mom and Me" Retreat.

I wish that there would have been a Blog or something on the FLN site to let us know who was the winner of the contest for this retreat, instead of just an announcement on the Morning Show alone ! There were many amazing & heartfelt testimonies written & these Moms could really benefit from some type of feedback/opportunity for encouragement.

Dear Paula,
I agree with you and as the founder of Mom & Me the responsibility fell on me to see that should have happened. Here is a long overdue recap of how God worked many details out throught this contest.
As it turns out we had one official winner that was announced and from the contest we also received sponsorship for 3 other families to attend. People in the listening audiance were moved by the heartfelt testimonies and donated for either a specific family or for a donation to be used for another on the waiting list.

I do know that the blog spot did create an opportunity for women to share their burdens and some healing was found in the process.
