Neighborhoods in the Network / Flying Tigers Reunion (Geneseo, NY)
07.09.08 |
The World War II Flying Tigers are the stuff of legend. They are known for their daring exploits in China and for the distinctive shark's mouth painted on the nose of the Curtiss P-40s that they flew.
On June 11, 12, and 13, 2008, the Geneseo Air Show in Geneseo, NY will host what air show organizers hope will be the largest reunion of the Flying Tigers since the end of World War II.
Join Martha Manikas-Foster in this "Neighborhoods in the Network" feature report to learn some of the history of the fabled airmen as well as the activities planned for the air show. To find out more about the Geneseo Air Show and the 1941 Historical Aircraft Museum, log onto 1941hag.org.
