Neighborhoods in the Network / Farm-City Day (Cohocton, NY)
09.17.08 |
As many as 2,000 people are expected to make the trek to Cohocton, NY on Saturday, September 20th for the 2008 Steuben County Farm-City Day. For no charge guests will have a chance to milk a cow, ride a hay wagon, walk a corn maze, taste cheese and more. The Steuben County Cooperative Extension has been organizing Farm City Days each year since 2000 to help those who do not live on farms reestablish a connection with the agricultural industry that plays such a large role in our lives.
This year's event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Cohocton at the Wolcott family's Lent Hill Dairy Farm. Signs directing visitors to the Wolcott Farm will be posted after the Cohocton exit off of I-86.
