Inside Out 279: Why We Eat Our Own

Where did evil come from, and why doesn't God do something about it? The problem of evil is perhaps the most difficult question the Christian must face.
If God is good and all-powerful, why is there suffering in the world? Can't God put an end to murder, rape, and starvation? What about earthquakes, hurricanes, and tsunamis? Why couldn't a perfect God have made a perfect world?
The greatest minds of history have grappled with these questions and yes, we have to approach them with reverence and a healthy fear of God; but even though there is mystery here, God has left enough clues in His Word to provide faith building food for thought.
Dr. Norman Geisler is a well known scholar and defender of the faith. I always come away from a deep conversation with him enlightened and encouraged rather than confused and dismayed.
Bottom line: We can rest assured that God is both loving and all-powerful.
For thoughts on how that can be, listen to my chat with Dr. Geisler based on his book If God, Why Evil?
"The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever….” (Deuteronomy 29:29)
Inside Out airs Wednesdays at 12:20pm EST during the Family Life Noon Report.
