(Flint, MI) -- An Ohio woman is just weeks away from giving birth to someone else's child after a fertility clinic accidentally implanted her with the wrong embryo. For the biological parents, it has been a bittersweet journey. Paul and Shannon Morell of Flint, Michigan found out Carolyn Savage was carrying their baby about 14 weeks into the pregnancy. Shannon told NBC's "Today Show" she is anxious for her son to finally be born.

Shannon said the pregnancy has been hard on both the couples involved. Carolyn and Sean Savage were trying to conceive their fourth child through in vitro fertilization when the clinic mixed up the embryos back in February. Paul and Shannon Morell were grateful Carolyn chose to carry the baby to term rather than terminate the pregnancy.

The 40-year-old is now 35 weeks along and is expected to give birth in the next two weeks. The Savages will get a few minutes to say goodbye before handing the infant over to the Morells, who already have two young daughters. At this point, neither couple knows whether they will keep in touch after the delivery.
