Wolf Tops Corbett In Gubernatorial Polls

06.04.14 | Bill Price

Two new political polls show Democrat Tom Wolf has opened up a sizable lead over incumbent Tom Corbett in Pennsylvania's gubernatorial race. The Public Policy Institute has Tom Wolf ahead, 55% to 30%. The Rasmussen Reports Survey gives him a 51% to 31% advantage. These are the first polls taken since Wolf emerged victorious in the May 20th primary. His popularity has doubled since the last head to head match up against Tom Corbett last year. Pundits say Corbett could lose support from Conservatives for refusing to appeal a judge's decision on homosexual marriage. Experts say an on-time budget is a must for his re-election chances. The budget deadline is the end of this month.
