 Pastor David Wilkerson was laid to rest Monday. Wilkerson is best known for his book The Cross and The Switchblade, which has sold 50 million copies worldwide. In it, he talked about working with troubled teens in the nation's largest city, New York. Wilkerson was driving with his wife in Tyler, Texas, last Wednesday when his car collided with a truck. He died at the scene. His his wife was rushed to hospital where she remains under observation. A funeral for the 79-year-old was held Monday at Rose Heights Church of God, in Tyler. His founding church, Times Square Church, has confirmed a memorial service will be held in New York City on May 14 to give members of the church and the public the chance to pay their respects. The service will be streamed live worldwide via the church's website-- and told in 10 different languages.
