Gay Marriage

Washington will likely become the seventh state to legalize gay marriage. The legislature voted to legalize same sex marriage yesterday. The House passed it 55 to 43 Wednesday, and their Senate passed it last week. Reverend Joseph Fuiten is Pastor of Cedar Park Assembly of God in Washington State. He says "it's very disappointing. The bill will have a serious effect on religious freedom. We've already granted homosexuals every right that goes along with marriage. It seems like an unnecessary step." The Reverend warns there are dangers of the bill for the Christian church. He says there are all kinds of ministries in the church where you basically get slapped with a discrimination lawsuit." The governor of Washington is expected to sign the bill next week. Meanwhile, Illinois introduced a bill in the House yesterday to allow gay marriage.
