(New York, NY)  --  The U.S. Attorney's office has released a video showing the devastation the Times Square car bomb would have caused if it had detonated.  Faisal Shahzad, who was behind the attempted car bombing in Times Square, had parked the SUV loaded with explosives in an area packed with pedestrians on May 1st.  The filing notes Shahzad had every intention of delivering a powerful and terrorizing strike to the heart of New York City.  Federal prosecutors included the video as part of a sentencing submission, noting Shazad should receive life in prison.  Shahzad pleaded guilty in June to charges related to the failed attack.  He will be sentenced next week.
