Want To Cast A Vote In Ny All You Need Is Internet
08.17.12 |
You can now register to vote online in New York, if you have a drivers license or a non-driver i.d. card. The state is trying to make it easier to vote. It ranks 47th out of all 50 states for the number of people registered each year. It also saves cash. The state’s 129 DMV branches collect, sort and mail roughly 300,000 voter registration forms a year to county boards of elections. The new system, which will also allow already-registered voters to change their addresses or party enrollments, will eliminate the need to mail the forms and will limit human error that occurs during manual data input, officials said. The registration is secure. By the way, if you're registering by mail by the September 13th primary election, your form has to be postmarked by midnight tonight (8/17).
