New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed legislation that prohibits access to indoor tanning facilities for kids under 17. Teen tanners will have to get parental permission when the law takes effect in 30 days.  Rachel from Albany, tells Family Life it's a good idea to ban electric tans. She says "I went tanning a few times, but I think it's better that we don't go, because my brother actually got third degree burns from going. You should have your parent's consent." Experts say people who tan indoors before the age of 30 increase their risk of getting skin cancer by 75 percent.
