Voluntary Recall For Evenflo High Chairs

04.03.09 |

A voluntary recall is in effect for nearly 750-thousand Evenflo Envision high chairs. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Evenflo Company Incorporated announced the voluntary recall due to recent reports of the high-chair's seatback unexpectedly reclining or detaching.

They say the recline fasteners and metal screws on either side of the high-chair may loosen or fall out causing a safety hazard for children. Evenflo has received over 300 reports of ineffective seatbacks, about 20 reports of bumps and bruises to children's' heads and 35 reports of other abrasions. The recall also says the detached hardware also poses a choking hazard for children. For additional information and model numbers visit evenflo.com.
