A new study says video games can boost mental ability in older people. These “brain-training” games were developed by a college professor in California and a new study in the journal “nature” suggests playing them may help older people boost mental skills and cognitive recall.  experts say Specialized video games might one day also help children with attention deficit disorder, or soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder.  One of the games... called NeuroRacer, involves doing two things simultaneously. A player uses a joystick to guide a car along a hilly, twisting road.  At the same time, a series of signs — appears on the screen. The player pushes a button only when a particular kind of sign appears. Players were scored on how quickly and accurately they reacted to the right signs.
