Us Supreme Court Will Not Hear Gun Rights Case

The U.S. Supreme Court is taking a pass on a gun rights case.  The nation's highest court won't consider whether a person's right to own guns extends to carrying a gun outside the home.  The court won't hear a case appealing a ruling in Maryland that upheld a state law requiring a permit to carry a gun outside a person's home.  In earlier rulings, the U.S. Supreme Court approved an individual's right to use guns inside the home for lawful purposes. The U.S. has the world's highest gun ownership rate. An estimated 90-million Americans own guns.
