(Chicago, IL)  --  U.S. employers cut just over 37-thousand jobs in September.  That's the second-lowest monthly total during 2010, but a seven-percent increase from August's 34-thousand-plus cuts.  If there's a glimmer of good news in all of this, announced jobs cuts this year have been 64-percent lower than those that occurred in the first nine months of 2009.  Outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas reports that from January through September of last year, employers cut more than one-point-13 million jobs.
