Students in Pennsylvania and New York are still on edge follow the Connecticut massacre. And now, two schools in the listening area have been threatened. Owego schools were warned that a student was planning a shooting today at the Tioga County school, prompting a panic through social media, and yesterday there were rumors and threats at Elmira's city school district. That school system will have extra supervision and additional police officers present Friday.

President Obama will lead the nation in a moment of silence at 9:30 Friday morning to remember the victims on this the one week anniversary of the Connecticut school massacre.  Also, churches all over America will ring their bells 26 times at 9:30 Friday morning to remember the 20 students and six adults killed one week ago. Every school in New York and Pennsylvania has said they will observe a moment of silence at 9:30 this morning in honor of the victims of the massacre.

A number of prominent websites will join in a "web goes silent" memorial Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Eastern to pay tribute to those who died at Sandy Hook Elementary school.  The sites will go dark for one minute. Across the country, church bells will toll 26 times, and there are moments of silence slated in all 50 states.
