Three towns in the Family Life listening area had milestone birthdays this past weekend. Dunmore, Pennsylvania marked 150 years Saturday. The town of Portville celebrated its 175th birthday in upstate New York Sunday. Howard, New York logged a staggering 200 years. Howard was founded in 1812, and celebrated with a commuity chorus, church services, and quilt displays. Portville celebrated their birthday heritage with a spectacular fireworks display, horse pulls and tractor pulls, a car show and 10k walk, a square dance and a pig roast. They also had a birthday cake that was 8 feet long.
