Toomey Cbo Findings On Obamacare Devastating

02.05.14 | Bob Price

U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) released the following statement about today's nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report that says the President's health care law will reduce the number of full-time workers by about 2.5 million.

"Like many Pennsylvanians, I believe that creating more jobs and growing the economy should be one of our top priorities in Washington. Unfortunately, many of the policies that have been enacted by this Administration - especially Obamacare -- are taking us in the opposite direction.

"Today, nonpartisan CBO has reported that Obamacare will cost millions of jobs and slow economic growth. This report should be big news but, sadly, these results are as predictable as they are devastating.

"Since I came to the Senate in 2011, business owners and individuals have warned me that onerous Obamacare mandates will make health insurance policies unaffordable, force employers to shed jobs, while greatly limiting the availability of full-time work that offer families sustaining wages. This nonpartisan CBO report confirms that Pennsylvania cannot afford the severe economic consequences and job loss created by the President's health care law."
