Today Is The New York Primary Election

06.24.14 | Sarah Harnisch

The race to watch is Representative Richard Hanna, whose 22nd district stretches from Oswego to Endicott.

New Yorker's for Constitutional Freedom's Jason McGuire says "Hanna was the lone Republican nationwide to vote for taxpayer funding of abortion. If that were not enough, we've seen nearly a million dollars come into his race from a PAC called American Unity PAC, a gay rights political action committee. Those of us in the pro life and pro family community are really watching this race, because there is a strong challenge in conservative Claudia Tenney, who is running as a pro-life pro-family candidate."

McGuire says it will all come down to turnout-- those who are more motivated will win the day. Polls open in every county in the state from noon till 9 p.m., save Erie county, whose polls are open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
