10.19.11 | Sarah Harnisch

A campaign is underway to make "Good Friday" a national holiday. If the campaign is able to get 5-thousand signatures by this Friday, the White House will give it "commemorative status."  Sharon Jones is the organizor of the Good Friday National Holiday Campaign. She says if you look at the White House website, Good Friday doesn't even have a proclamation. Jones says it's sad that we don't have this as a national holiday in the United States. Right now, there are 11 states that commemmorate Good Friday. New York and Pennsylvania are not among them.
