There Is More Support For Gay Marriage In New York State

A new Quinnipiac College poll shows 58-percent of New Yorkers support same-sex marriage.  Conservative lobbyist Jason McGwire thinks the poll numbers are skewed, somewhat. He says "we see cases such as in California during Proposition 8 that the polls shows wide public support of same-sex marriage, but when they had to vote, the number swung 10 points in the other direction. What's troubling about these polls though is that the numbers are moving, and larger numbers of people are approving same-sex marriage.
McGwire says if there was a vote on same-sex marriage in New York today, it would fail by 10 votes in the Republican-controlled state Senate.
